Answer
The British Government’s Department for Business and Trade has published the Green Paper on the Future of Post Offices, launching a significant consultation that highlights the vital role Post Offices play in delivering essential services to communities, such as postal, banking, government, and payment services.
MLAs and other public representatives with an interest in these issues are likely to engage with the consultation proactively, without the need for encouragement from my Department.
Meanwhile, the Consumer Council is in the process of preparing its response to the Green Paper and will advocate for continuance and augmentation of services provided to NI consumers.
