Answer
Postal services are a reserved matter, overseen by the Department for Business and Trade. The British government is currently consulting on the future of the Post Office through its Green Paper.
The Consumer Council is currently preparing its response to the Green Paper: Future of Post Office consultation and will advocate for maintaining and augmenting services where possible to include ensuring access for customers across all areas.
