The Education Authority (EA) is represented on the Teachers' Negotiating Committee (TNC) which agreed and implemented the Workload Agreement TNC 2024/2. To ensure the workload agreement and directed time budgets (DTB) has been implemented the EA has provided the following support to schools:
Updated online training for school Principals, Boards of Governors and Teachers covering directed time budgets and the Workload Agreement was devised and issued by the EA.
A recording of the interactive training and guidance materials, including a walk-through of all resources and toolkits, enabling school leaders and Governors to access the DTB training at any time;
The provision of locality 'DTB support and guidance' clinics for clusters and communities of school leaders as required;
The provision of support and guidance for school leaders from their School Improvement Professional as required; and
School Improvement Professionals supported individual schools to explore and engage with the featured modules within the recorded interactive training resource, which is hosted on The Supporting Learning website.
