Answer
An international travel policy for fully vaccinated travellers from amber list countries was introduced across the UK on 19 July 2021, enabling those arrivals to no longer have to self-isolate for 10 days or take the day 8 post-arrival test, following their arrival into NI. This policy has been rolled out in a phased approach, with phase 1 applying to those arrivals vaccinated as part of the UK roll out vaccination programme. Phase 2 was rolled out on 2 August, where the policy was extended as part of a pilot, to fully vaccinated arrivals from the European Union and the United States of America. As part of the work of the Global Travel Taskforce, discussions are ongoing regarding further extensions of the policy, to include other countries such as Canada and an announcement will be made in due course.
