AQW 50870/22-27 Written question to the Minister for the Economy

To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail when she will bring forward amendments to the Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012, in order to enable the provision of plug-in solar systems, as have been available in the rest of the UK after regulatory change on 27 August 2026.

My Department is considering the implications of the recent regulatory changes introduced in Britain in relation to plug-in solar systems. Any amendments required to the Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2012 will be progressed as soon as possible.
