AQW 49405/22-27 Written question to the Minister of Education

To ask the Minister of Education whether his Department has considered establishing a central mechanism to assess teachers with incomplete (i) Induction; or (ii) Early Professional Development requirements, to provide a clear route to completion based on previous experience and evidence.

My Department is currently developing processes to implement mandatory induction, to include agreed core content, against which incomplete induction can be assessed.

We will also be undertaking a comprehensive review and redesign of Early Professional Development.
