AQW 47420/22-27 Written question to the Minister for Infrastructure

To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 45601/22-27, to detail the number of unauthorised flags on property owned by her Department that have been removed, subject to reporting to her Department's Report a Fault line, since the restoration of the Assembly in February 2024.

Answer

The proliferation of illegally erected flags, often used to intimidate and mark out territory, is totally unacceptable and the Department will continue to engage with the PSNI and others to identify the most effective ways to tackle this problem, while ensuring the protection of its staff.
