Answer

A 12-week public consultation on the draft Framework for Race Relations opened on 11 March 2026 and will close on 3 June 2026.

The draft Framework is intended to build on the achievements of the Racial Equality Strategy 2015-2025 and respond to evolving demographic realities and continued inequalities by proposing an inclusive and evidence-informed approach.

Importantly, the Framework will be supported by Delivery Plans incorporating interventions to promote racial equality and community cohesion. This approach enhances our ability to remain agile and reactive to emerging issues and ensures a whole community approach.
