Answer
My officials are working proactively with employing Trusts, through the Regional Physician Assistant (PA) Forum they have established, to try to ensure that posts are available for PA graduates despite the significant financial challenges facing the HSC. It is recognised that the identification of recurrent funding is an essential requirement for the creation of jobs for these individuals. My officials will continue to engage with stakeholders on this important issue, in the context of the findings and recommendations from the recent Leng Review, and my Department's own review into the role of the PAs.
