AQW 37982/22-27 Written question to the Minister for the Economy

To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail (i) any milestones she has set for the drafting, introduction and passage of the Good Jobs Employment Rights Bill insofar, as it provides for neonatal care leave and pay; and (ii) any risks that have been identified that could delay commencement of this entitlement, beyond 2027.

Answer

The Employment Rights Bill will be introduced to the Assembly following agreement by the Executive. As I announced on 28 April 2025, I intend the right to Neonatal Care leave and pay to form part of this Bill. Its introduction and its timing are dependent on the passage into law of this Bill.
