Answer
The role of the Bureau in China is to promote our region as a place where people want to live and work, to visit, to study and invest, and to build the relationships that can help us deliver the Executive’s objectives. The Northern Ireland Bureau China noted the concerns regarding human rights violations raised at The Executive Committee in May 2025 with the UK Embassy in China officials with responsibility for human rights policy and advocacy.
