Answer
This issue is an operational matter for Translink. I have sought the requested information and have been advised as follows:
Translink currently offer free rail connection from York Street station to the City Centre. This is in the form of free Metro bus transfer travel on production of a valid NI Railways ticket.
Between Yorkgate Station and Ulster University Belfast Campus and the City Centre, both on the U1 Service and passing Metro scheduled services (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e, 2f, 2g and 2p). This will also apply for return journeys to Yorkgate station from Belfast City Centre and Ulster University Campus for those in possession of a valid rail ticket.
Alternatively customers can travel to other parts of the City Centre via rail services from Grand Central Station or Lanyon Station.
For any future queries relating to operational matters, you should contact Translink directly at aqw.request@translink.co.uk. Making direct contact with Translink will ensure that you receive the information in the shortest possible timeframe and make best use of limited public resources.
