AQW 4356/22-27 Written question to the Minister of Health

To ask the Minister of Health, following the measures set out in the UK Government’s Our Plan for Patients policy paper, to outline what action he will take to correct pension scheme rules regarding inflation, where the difference in Consumer Price Inflation between the previous year and the current year is considered as pension growth.

My Department is currently in discussions with DoF to address the issue of rapidly increasing inflation and its effect on pension growth. The scope of the technical adjustments to legislation which may be required to facilitate any adjustments to handling are now being considered.
