Answer
Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG) in the Department has been collating data on the total number of referrals to pulmonary rehabilitation services as part of Post Covid Syndrome Services, established across each trust. The overall number of referrals to wider pulmonary rehabilitation services unrelated to Covid is not collected centrally.
Between April 2021 and the 31 July 2022, there was a total of 683 referrals to pulmonary rehabilitation services as part of Post Covid Syndrome Services across Northern Ireland, of which, 132 were reported as coming from General Practitioners. Please note that the Western Trust has not reported to the Department for this period.
