To ask the Minister of Health what plans he has to ensure that weight loss surgery is available from Health and Social Care NI, similar to NHS provision elsewhere in the UK.

The Department is currently working on the development of a new Obesity Strategy for Northern Ireland which is due to be published in 2023. The strategy will outline policy on both the prevention and treatment of obesity, including surgical intervention.
