Answer

The European Union has recently agreed the technical specification for the display of booster vaccinations. Citizens who need this information urgently, for international travel, will be issued with a single dose letter (with a QR code) in the first instance via a pdf download or in print.

Applications for the letters can be made, through the NI Direct website, from 16 December. The app will begin displaying the information in early January.

The information to be included in paper and digital certificates is taken from the regional Vaccination Management System which is updated by clinical staff at the time a booster vaccination is given. Citizens do not have to provide any additional information.
