Answer
While there have been no specific discussions with other UK jurisdictions on ovarian cancer awareness, departmental officials have been working with colleagues in the Health and Social Care Board, PHA, national and local cancer charities, and HSC Trusts to produce the new 10 year Northern Ireland Cancer Strategy in line with a New Decade, New Approach Agreement (January 2020) commitment. This long term strategy includes ways to improve support for patients along the whole cancer pathway, including improving awareness of the signs and symptoms of various types of cancer, and in turn, encouraging them to speak to their GP should they have such concerns.
