The Chief Nursing Officer Charlotte McArdle as head of the Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals Directorate provides representation on behalf of nurses, midwives and allied health professions on the Management Board overseeing the Strategic Framework.

The Chief Allied Health Professions Officer in the department reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and will be in attendance at Board meetings to deal with specific issues as they arise in relation to AHPs.
