Answer
There are currently no plans to introduce a rapid redress scheme for Northern Ireland. However, the Department is committed to providing high quality, safe and effective health and social care services to reduce the number of avoidable deaths or injuries during birth. A wide range of policies are already in place with others currently under development to ensure that we deliver high quality maternity services that are safe and sustainable for the future.
